Default Arsenal 0 Chelsea 2

Well, that's that. Not really at the races. I'd say we need to win the Champions League to keep hold of Henry. I'm not optomistic about that.
Chelsea are pretty boring - a better paid version of Bolton. Hopefully not the way things are going.

Apart from Van Persies disallowed goal and Henry hitting the post in the first half, I thought Chelsea were the better team and deserved the win. I dont think you could call them boring today, Joe Cole was electric, Robben had a few good chances and the passing in tight situations was excellent at times.

---------------------

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger felt Robin van Persie's disallowed goal in the Gunners' 2-0 defeat by Chelsea should have stood.

Wenger said: "The turning points of the game went against us.

"The first goal is very important and the referee made the wrong decision. For me, our goal was the perfect goal - and it would have changed the game.

"Then they scored and from then on they sat back and hit us on the break, which made it far more difficult for us."

The Gunners boss was also unhappy with Michael Essien's first-half challenge on Lauren, which left the Arsenal full-back prostrate on the floor and earned the Chelsea midfielder a booking.

"For me, it was a straight red card," added Wenger.
-----------------------------

Mourinho said: "The distance between us is now very big and we should not worry about it.

"But the distance between us and Manchester United and Liverpool meant a draw wouldn't have been good for us and we had to go for three points."

Goals from Arjen Robben and Joe Cole were enough to give Chelsea their first league win at Highbury since 1990.

And Mourinho was impressed with the Dutchman's contribution after a spell on the sidelines.

He added: "He made a big contribution to the three points.

"He has been very tired after the last three games but we had a week to recover and get him sharp and the result was very impressive.

"I was impressed with the whole team and we pressured them without even having a backpass right from the start. I think they were surprised by that.

"Admittedly, we were pretty boring. A couple of times I found myself nodding off. However, I recovered well as I was worried about messing up my hair.

"When Manchester United won at Aston Villa yesterday I became more confident about this result. I knew the players would answer in the right way."

---------------------

Ok, I made up one of those paragraphs but the rest of it's real.

I was delighted to see Mourinho refuse to shake Wingers hand after the game. Asre has done nothing all season but moan about Chelsea, instead of looking after his own sinking ship. Mourinho oboviosly doesn't like the man and refused to pretend he does by shaking hands for the cameras.
Respect.
