Dublin industrial rock group, Lluther have been added to the bill as special guests to KMFDM on Monday 5th December in The Village. This will be KMFDM's first visit to these shores and their only Irish appearance. Lluther are just back from their German tour to promote their debut album Agents Of Empire where they have been blowing away audiences with their explosive performances. This is going to be one great night of rock'n'roll - don't miss it!

KMFDM:
Such industrial alt-metal outfits as Nine Inch Nails and Ministry received the lion's share of press and commercial success during the '90s, but there were a handful of other bands that were slugging it out for just as long (if not longer), including KMFDM. Founded in in Germany during 1984 by Sascha Konietzko, KMFDM pioneered the crossover between techno / dance and heavy metal with their signature industrial sound. Moving to Chicago in the mid-80s KMFDM was the pride of Wax Trax Records during the label’s peak. Rapidly evolving year by year through intense experimentation and touring; the band has redefined themselves with each new release.

Venturing on to dabble in side projects and then re-establish KMFDM in Seattle during 2001 Sascha's revolving band of misfits stood the test of time. Currently helmed by the dual vocal attack of the band’s founder Sascha and siren Lucia KMFDM celebrated 20 years of musical excellence by traveling performing 62 shows in the US, Canada, Europe and Australia. To quote themselves, “The future belongs to those of us still willing to get our hands dirty”. Living by their D.I.Y. philosophy, KMFDM has launched their own online KMFDM Store and record label (KMFDM Records). Currently the band embarks on a World Tour in support of Hau Ruck, their new album released jointly through Metropolis Records/KMFDM Records. The self-proclaimed fathers of industrial-rock show no signs of stopping.

Members have included Chris Connelly (Revolting Cocks / Ministry), Raymond Watts (Pig / Einsturzende Neubauten / Psychic TV), Willem Rieflin (Ministry / Revolting Cocks / 1000 Homo DJs), Tim Skold (Shotgun Messiah).

Lluther:
Lluther is the work of Gerry Owens - vocalist, songwriter, arranger and producer. With Lluther, Owens has created a sound that combines a vicious assault with precise delicacy and an audio-visual aspect that mirrors the music - check out the flash video (together with hidden content) for show you mean it on our website. Lluther's live line up is completed by deK (guitar), Chief (bass), Heff (samples/guitar) and Ger Farrell (drums) - set to deliver both the power and the complexities of the music. With Lluther Owens (ex-Skindive) has developed a distinctive, dark and heavy sound with a series of audio-visual elements to both clash with and explore the lyrical and musical content and a suitable live show to deliver it. Like every argument you've ever had. Passion, rage and reason. It's here.

You only have to give up your Monday night for it.

Touring commitments - next time it will hopefully be a weekend date. I hope you can make it. Cheers.
