It’s always a good idea to match the producer /mastering engineer to the type of band he/she is working with. Like you said everyone has the software and loudness is only half the job when it comes to mastering. So on those points I would recommend MT as well.
If that does not work out contact a band called playto( I have a number) , they got their album mastered in the states for a reasonable price and it sounds first-rate.
It would be nice to think you can keep it local but sometimes you have to make a decision for the benefit of the band.
Revere got their album done in OZ and it also sounds like a commercial release .
