Chelsea defender John Terry faces four weeks on the sidelines with the knee injury that forced him out of England's World Cup qualifier with Wales.
Terry sustained the problem in Chelsea's Barclays Premiership win over Tottenham on Saturday and withdrew from the England squad on Tuesday afternoon.
He will be replaced in the squad preparing for this Saturday's game at the Millennium Stadium by Fulham's Zat Knight, who made his international debut on the summer tour of the USA.
England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson a press conference televised by Sky Sports News: "We will send him (Terry) home. He is not ready and will be out for four weeks with a knee injury.
"We knew about it yesterday. Zat Knight is coming here tonight. He did well in America and we have been looking at him."
So when is Glen Johnson gonna play? He did ok back end of last season so I put him in my dreamteam and he hasn't even made the bench yet!?
I really dont rate Glen Johnson as a full back. I dont think he is defensively sound enough. He makes silly mistakes and gives away stupid frees and penalties. He is young and will improve with time, but he may not be given that time. I wouldnt be surprised if José unloaded him next year.
IMO he would be better suited as a winger in midfield as he is great going forward.
I dont think he has ever turned out at centre half and I think that position would be a disaster for him. Huth would be ahead of him for a centre half slot and funny enough when Huth was played at right back last year -he was a disaster in that position and Geremi was called in and performed admirably in the slot.
