No way an appartment block could bring in as much revenue as the brog on its own , the business that place does

i would find this hard to believe, although the if one sold the complex as ground floor commercial with upper resednetial it may bring in more revenue. At the same time its not really a great place for resedntial development in the first place as its smack bang in the middle of second busiest street in cork.

At the same time the brog is the busiest pub in town foriegners or not and the cube is quite busy too. I dont really see where the huge slump in business for that complex is coming from, the quadrupled business when they expanded the brog in the first place.

The only reason i could see a sale of the property would be to live on a fat retiretment cheque. Maybe they are hedging their bets against the new super pubs being built at the moment.

I dunno though....

man, they'd get about 10-15 million for that place.

not t0 mention the proposed club going into the old ymca building, there was talk too of one going above the woodford and one above clancys.

whether they're all rumour or not remians to be seen.

I'd be amazed if the brog complex was sold though unless they got offered silly money for it.
