Would be a huge mistake to sell Cisse, there's surely some1 else to sell.
Will that leave them only three strikers? Owen, Crouch, Morientes, r am I leaving some1 out.

Selling Cisse would be a big mistake imho. He has looked very sharp in pre-season and deserves a decent run in his natural position (playing on the shoulder of the last defender) ideally paired with Morientes. He simply hasn't had enough of a chance to show us what he can. Yes Rafa may not rate him as highly as cisse would like but players have been known to change managers minds when given a decent run out (Finnan was nearly sold before the injury to Josemi allowed him back in and he has been a revelation since)

Baros out & Owen in on a 12 month loan with option to buy (as has been rumoured) would be a great solution as it would
  • allow Cisse & Pongolle the chance to show their worth
  • give us a quality, diverse set of strikers to choose from
  • keep our funds free for more high priority signings (Centre-back & right midfield)
This is an important season for Pongolle once he returns fully from injury (came on as sub and scored in the reserves earlier in the week). He has toughened up physically since he first joined and has shown signs that he may well get a few games wide on the right (esp. when Rafa decides to play one up front) as he has a similar skill-set to SWP.

im more sad to see baros leaving. it reminds me of the time when fowler left. id rather owen any day over cisse. cisse is ALWAYS offside. he refuses to learn. he has looked sharp this season alright, against shite teams. dont even bother with the french squad bullshit...

Made up silly season story. Note no quotes from anyone.

Pippo Inzaghi is always offside- I suppose he is shit as well? And I suppose nobody can be taught to stay onside? FFS.

He would be mad to sell Cisse, although I'd be sorry to see Baros going himself and Cisse are too similar in there head down run with ball......if we get Owen I'd like to see him and Cisse play together as he'd be fast enough to latch onto cisse crosses....currently its cisse crossing with the rest of the lads just getting to the D of the box!

That Houllier is a cheeker lad, 4m plus a 31 year old wiltord for Cisse. A player he paid 14m for last summer when boss at Anfield!

Like these Solano plus 6m for baros rumours though. Add him to zenden and we'll really see the best of morientes.

where's our back up centre half though? why isn't henchoz still here?
