I think a midfield signing should have bee the close seasons priority but earra we'll have a better idea in a months time.

Chelsea arn't gonna win, it's united or arsenal.

Liverpool don't have a hope, not enough improvement from last year's side.
The signing of Crouch is a step backwards

plus people seem to forget ruud missed half of last deason, he's 7 goals already pre-season. with a fully fit side we can challenge
I don't see how you can write off Chelsea like that, when all 3 teams have essentially the same squads as last year. what signings have either of Arsenal or united made that can help them close the gap??

I can't see any of them catching chelsea.

Liverpools aim this season is merely to close the gap to the top 3. If they achieve that I'll be happy. And I think they will. I have my doubts about Crouch as well, but i don't think he'll be anything more than a bench warmer with Morientes and Cisse the first choice strikers.

Reason?? "Everybody will be gunning for them" not accepted. Any team who isn't "gunning" for their opposition shouldn't be on the pitch in the first place.

Mid-table mediocrity once again for the toon.

you forget that defending the title is a lot harder than winning it, Something arsenal have learnt to thyeir cost in recent years. Teams will bust a gut to beat Chelsea this term.Effectively every game Chelsea play this season will be the oppositions cup final.

United's chief problem last season was drawn matches ,not losses. With a fully fit ruud in the side , United will, i feel have the killer instinct in front of goal required to turn draws into wins.

Arsenal have lost two integral midfielders with no immediate replacement I feel they'll struggle this term.

I think it will be united first, 2nd between arsenal and chelsea and Liverpool 4th.

Newcastle eh? Think Souness can get on with the rest of the world for a whole season? Parker and Emre are very good signings but can Mr Angry avoid falling out with them....the board....the fans....the tea-lady.....his wife...etc

That doesn't matter. They're still good enough to beat anyone put in front of them.

They won't lose more than 2 or 3 games all season.
