I was there, the rain fell and fell and fell , we went blackrock end instead of the city end for some reason I can't remember , probably because we were soaked from the thunderstorms after walking up the marina, when the final whistle went it was straight into the pitch , smallest crowd at a Munster final I can recall. Think It was something like 15000 only .

Nah. It was football and lashing. Though I probably attended each and every Munster Football final in the 20 subsequent years.

Yes ....and no
Even if by some miracle it was to happen, the animals would still be there.
Back then, that finished their summer for them, which was great because they were all guff about "putting things right" after 1982!
We were after receiving some awful batterings from them back then although we nearly stopped "the four in a row" in its tracks the previous year drawing in P UI C only to get hammered in replay.

I was there with my dad, all through the game a kerry fella was slagging us,
At the final whistle my dad tapped him on the shoulder and said you are gone very quiet all of a sudden, your man snapped back..leave me alone or il hit you a poke, The cork crowd around him drove him demented, such a shame we couldnt see out the last minute v Dubs in croke park,

remember standing at the back of the church with 4 lads discussing whether would go or not 2 of us went ,soaked to the skin getting there, i would say it was the first of only 2 times I shed tears after a game.
They were so confident they did not bother to bring the cup up with them.

I was there, no it cant happen this year.
our road was flooded that morning - I was there with a load of uncles who stewarded an empty section of the uncovered stand.
