Default Stephen Ireland

What's the story with Stevie Ireland being tormented by some of the other players, Stephen Hunt and the like, when playing for the Under 19's with Brian Kerr ?

That apparantly is the reason he's refusing to play for us.

I hear that he wants to go and play for Brazil now as he plays with a few. He qualifies by the grandmother rule - oh wait, sure aren't they dead, according to himself??

He is a good footballer though. Like to see him back in the green jersey too.

Hunt would be one to talk about dodgy haircuts and all!!!

I feel like I've heard a lot of the non Dublin lads have a hard time when they are on duty with the underage Irish teams though. I may be talking through my ass but I'm pretty sure I remember good friends of Joe Gamble's......team mates from his Everton days saying he didn't enjoy being around the team (but obviously wanted to play for Ireland) back in the day.

Off the wall as he appears to be, Ireland should be more than able to give it back to most the lads. Other than O'Shea, Keane and one or two more he just needs to go ask them about where they are playing to put them in their place.
