Ive always used quick fit in little island

There a bit more expensive than your average mechanic but they're very good.

Charge about 50 an hour for labour

When the NCT first came out we used to turn down the power in Diesel engines and they'd pass every time. I remember driving 15 miles to macroom and the car wouldn't pull the socks off a dead man. When we got home just power her up again.

A m8 of mine a few weeks ago had a similar problem and he got an additive for his diesel when he was filling up (maybe injector cleaner but might be wrong in the name) He then drove the car to test centre without going over 3rd gear (keeping revs high) and it passed.

I always use Dipetane for my petrol cars pre-NCT. It's a fuel additive that's green and you get about a litre of it for a 10er in most autofactors. There's probably a Deisel equivalent.

Dipethane works on all engines. Its the business. I'd recommend you drive a diesel at 100 km/h for about 5 to 20 kms every week to clear out the dpf.
