Well he's not the first former GAA star/GAA Official to go into politics. We've had Graham Geraghty and Jimmy Denihan with Fine Gael to name two.On the county board side of thing's, we have Bob Ryans involvement with Fianna Fail.

And what relevant qualifications does Sean Og have to become a state legislator?

Why would anyone think that this guy would even be capable of doing a good job?

as opposed to Enda Kenny or Paschal Donohoe or Patrick O'Donovan or Brian Hayes or John Bruton or Jimmy Deenihan and just for balance, A.N. Other TD in our Dáil.

To be clear, I have said I think this is a bad move for him and he should not do it for lots of reasons.

Are there qualifications needed? I never noticed that on the ballot paper

Sean Óg is well respected by Corkonians. Would be sad to see that evaporate by him joining a political party.

With the exception of 'Ta athas orm an coirn seo.....''. , SO comes across an excruciatingly bad public speaker. Even on one-to-one interviews, he comes across uncomfortable, lacking confidence and clearly someone (for whatever reason) who isn't comfortable in his own skin.

I don't see him as politician at all (that's probably a back handed complement btw)
