I think its incredibly crass for someone to tweet about that. The family deserve their privacy, it's not as if he's ever been anything than an 'under the radar' guy.

I didn't even know he was still playing.

If he's in Marymount he's in the best of hands anyway.

yup, social media is a fucking curse, people have lost all sense of perspective when it comes to privacy

if you are aware of his situation and actually want to help, then shut your trap and give his family some respect instead of tweeting about how sad you are.. ie the first to know... ie the first to have the lack of judgement to tweet

article in the Times now about him made up from the various tweets, check Tom's tweet out:

Quote:
His former teammate at Hibernian, Tam McManus wrote on Twitter; “Awful news about Liam Miller keep the fingers crossed that he somehow pulls through.
“Was in the USA for treatment this month and flys back tomorrow to start chemo here .
“He starts chemo tomorrow and is fighting hard really can’t go into any more detail than that out of respect for him and family. Praying he can get better

Class player - loved the way he burst onto the ball after those big runs from midfield

Saw him play for Utd against Cork City at the Cross and was highly impressed.

His anticipation and movement meant he could regain possession without even needing to tackle.

Hoping his therapy yields good news.

On the plus side, this sad news having leaked out, LM and his family are getting a lot of love, warmth and support from the footballing community.

Fingers and toes crossed the lad can pull through.
