Default I pad not charging

I pad won't charge. Have tried holding power and home buttons together plus got new charger. Anyone got ideas

Lint always builds up in the port, try clearing it out.

Dont use a cheap Chinese charger

Happened with my iPhone, it was intermittently charging. Toothpick into the charging port and a load of lint came out.

I tried that but gave up and handed it in to Compu B in town. Its still under warranty so god is good.
