Routes to interesting places like that are wasted on most people unfortunately. Its no wonder why Aer Lingus added a second route to shitty Florida from Dublin instead of (I think) Philadelphia. People just want to go and get pissed/tanned on the cheap and any European city that is within +-5% of Irish places is a "bloody rip off".

Yet the Dublin version gets more and more on the same route. Just a thought. But the DAA would never screw over Cork, no sirree bob!

For a weekly service the numbers were ok. I think it was more of a strategic decision for Aerlingus

Swiss, on the other hand, had a booming launch year for the Zurich Cork route and are now doubling capacity following a higher than expected demand from the business (pharma) sector.

As cakey says though, Aer Lingus are deploying the aircraft differently. Once a week to Munich is neither here nor there.

Used to be twice a week, even during the recession. Then Cork came under the DAA and MM and Coveny let it happen

Cork Airport has been run by the DAA/Aer Rianta since the 1960's

If Cork-Stewart was possible they would be doing it.
I've heard radio ads in recent weeks the Dublin/Boston and a separate one with the same jingles for Shannon/Boston but none for Cork/Boston. Perhaps there is one and I've not heard it. I don't listen to the radio much.

I'm no marketing expert but shouldn't Norwegian be advertising the shit out the Cork route right about now to target people that will now be booking their summer holidays? Especially considering they started too late last summer to target seasonal business. Not spotted any billboards or anything.
