Live At St. Luke’s first line up announcement:
Live At St. Luke’s is a series of unique one off events taking place in St. Luke’s Church, Summerhill North, Cork in August and September of this year. The project is a collaborative effort between Joe Kelly and Ed O’Leary with the support of Maeve Dineen in the Cork City Council Arts Department and Damien O' Mahony from the Tourism, Events, Arts & Marketing Group.
These events will aim to showcase the potential of St. Luke’s Church as a venue in attracting audiences of all ages and all walks of life to the beautiful and historical building on Cork's north side.
Mary Black & Band, Panti Bliss, Mick Flannery, Balanescu Quartet, Donal Lunny & Paddy Glackin plus more to be announced in the coming weeks.
August 7th – Balanescu Quartet - Tickets €25 + booking fee
An avant-garde string quartet headed by Alexander Bălănescu famed for complex cover versions of songs by experimental electronic music band Kraftwerk.
August 13th – Mick Flannery & Band presented by Coughlan’s Live Promotions -Tickets €20 + booking fee
Cork singer song writer, ex stone mason and top selling Irish artist with three number one albums under his belt.
August 14th – Panti Bliss – High Heels in Low Places - Tickets €20 + booking fee
Join National Treasure, Performance Legend and Accidental Activist – Panti – in her hit comedy High Heels in Low Places, a warm and wicked evening of scandalously fun tales.
August 15th – Donal Lunny & Paddy Glackin - Tickets €20 + booking fee
Lunny was a founding member of Planxty, Bothy Band & Moving Hearts. He is joined by Paddy Glackin also a founding member of Bothy Band and considered to be one of Ireland's Leading traditional fiddle players.
August 21st – Mary Black & Band - Tickets €35 + booking fee
Mary Black’s voice is an instrument of uncommon beauty and expressiveness. Her gifts as an interpreter of both folk and contemporary material have made her hugely popular at home and abroad; one of those rare talents who crosses musical boundaries effortlessly and makes every song she performs her own.

Join Cork legend Cara O’Sullivan for a night of opera and song at St Luke’s Church, Summerhill North, Cork on Sunday, 30 August at 8pm.
Appearing at the magical St Luke’s Church, Cara will sing some of the most gorgeous opera arias by Puccini, Gounod and Dvorak. The programme also includes sublime sacred music by Mozart and Handel and Richard Struass’ searingly beautiful Four Last Songs. The young virtuoso Cork violinist Kevin Jansson will be making a guest appearance and the evening will be accompanied by pianist Michael Joyce.
