Yip, the MRF were shoot and scoot killers like terrorists.
A sort of Dirty Dozen to take out the I.R.A. by direct action - a minute or so away from taking out Adams before the mission was called off.
Gerry's handlers saved his bacon on numerous occasions.

That is all the proof i need.

Collusion at every level.

It was a war i suppose so no side can have any complaints / moral high ground.

Filth fought with filth Stacky- my interpretation of the book was that the Military Reaction Force did not officially exist and were a law on to themselves-With hit and run missions taking place ina few minutes it was almost certain that innocent people would have been maimed/killed.The MRF's first fatality was actually due to an incident with the Loyalist thuggy boys.
You might get enough out of the t.v. prog to save you a tenner on the book.

I'm crying.

Should have kept it going for longer, more lives would have been saved.

I'm sure the MRF will sleep easy knowing that if they had slotted Adams then they would have been nutting a completely innocent man who was never in the IRA.

I think that anyone who could not imagine the Brits using a covert hit squad was naive.

If the Captain were able to post I'm sure he could enlighten us further. When is he back?
