Default Amazon in Cork - what are they like to work for?

Anyone know what they are like to work for in Cork? Just another large company that over works you and expects the world?

Contemplating to apply for a role in there, but the same role has come up time and time again over the last 18 months - this normally means there is a an issue there.

Are you sure it's the same position and not just them expanding?

There was a programme on about their work practices in the UK recently.
Think it was on channel 4.
It did not sound like a pleasant place to work and had a very high turnover of employees which is never a good sign.

It is definitely the same position- normally when the same position keeps popping up there is a problem. I have learned this from past experience - obviously can't be certain but that is my feeling.

Was that in the warehouse? You can see why they would be arsey about that considering the speed the stuff goes out of there.

You can't just stand in the aisles talking about the match last night or what your plans are with the girls for the weekend

I think this says it all.

Tis a pity only the big companies seem to be offering jobs these days - have a very negative impression of these multinationals.

That's the spirit, stay on the dole and 'contemplate about applying' for jobs.

Agency workers get treated like shit everywhere to be fair.

They are tracked by gps so they know where to pick from next
