Default Sony Xperia S

Thinking of getting one.

Any advice/experiences ?

Pros/cons ?

Or should I just go for iphone ?

Is build quality as good as apple ? Or maybe better...

Heavy camera user.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that TLC.
I will give it a closer look, not the prettiest and the cam isn't great at 8mp.
Heard the screen is not the greatest either.

The screen on the S3 is outstanding. Better than any phone that I've seen.

Xperia are pretty good from what I've seen though the screen is a little on the small side for my liking. Camera is good.

I think you're thinking of a different phone. The screen on the S3 is probably the best of any phone out there at the moment.

I picked up the Xperia S last week.

I think it's a fantastic phone with good build quality, it feels a lot more sturdier than the Samsung phones.

There's a great camera on it too and the screen is the best I've seen on any smart phone.

You can also connect it up to any relatively new tv and watch movies and use the internet - this can all be controlled with your tv's remote which is pretty cool. I tried it the other day and it worked well.

Check out the Meteor shop in town they have it set-up with a tv down the back of their shop. Well worth a look before you buy. Also there's some good reviews on You Tube.

I think Apple really have to up their game for the I-phone 5. Other manufacturers are moving ahead with some nice features.

IOS is in need of a serious update too, it hasn't changed much since the originally I-phone and it's starting to look a bit bland and boring.

The bar has been set by Samsung and Sony and Apple will really have their work cut out for them as they try and retain top spot in the market. The iPhone developed its dominance in a sparse period when the only real competition was the Galaxy S2 - prior to that, no smartphone offered real competition. Problem is, Apple haven't really used this springboard to bury the competition as they could've.

The phones are too small for internet browsing, the iOS and the locked-in features of iTunes and that are beyond frustrating, plus they don't look great (especially in comparison to the new Sonys) It's gonna be interesting to see what they do next.
