Question Ipad stuff

I always thought the Ipad was a bit pointless, as in my iphone can do more like.
But then the girlfriend bought me one so I need to invent uses for it now.
Apart from Social Networking, Reading the news and playing stupid games is there much else it can do?

Brought the ipad out to breakfast (my treat) and the fucker wouldn't connect to the wifi.
So I rubbed it's face in it by watching stuff on my iphone.

I got one as a present this year and it's only real use is for INTERNETting. Granted it's great for that when you're sitting on your couch but there's not a hope in hell that it represents value for money. For the basic model you're looking at the bones of €500, for that money you can buy a very good laptop. Personally the most i'd pay for one is about €300. Even at that i'd say it was a bit steep.

You're going to find it hard to get a laptop with an IPS Screen for that price...

Who give a shite about IPS screens, you're going to be straight in front of it anyway.

I do, and you're comparing apples and oranges tbh.

If there wasn't a need for tablets over laptops they'd cease to exist.

Of course there isn't a need for tablets. Man has survived all this time without them. What they are is a luxury item. If you've got €500 to fitter away then go buy an ipad if you want one. If you don't have that kind of money to throw away then buy a laptop instead.
