Just wondering if there's anywhere in Cork that handles iPod repairs?
Mine might be fucked, but I'd like to have it checked out before biting the bullet and thinking about buying a new one.
Basically, the problem is that sound is only coming through one headphone. I've tried two different sets, so I know the problem isn't with the headphones. So, it seems like whatever the issue is it's centred on the audio jack.
I had what seemed to be an identical problem with an older iPod years ago, and at that time I was advised to get a can of compressed air and give the audio port a blast of it, which solved the problem. I tried the same thing this time, but no joy.
I haven't tried to restore it to the original factory settings, partly because I'm one of those sad bastards who likes being able to check out play counts every once in a while and also because I don't have some of the music on my hard drive.
I lost everything on my ipod and the lads in amtech(think that's it anyway) in penrose wharf sorted it out for €45. sound bunch,€15 they can't fix it;€45 they can fix it without parts and after that they will contact you before they install parts.I threw them the extra fiver I was so happy to get my"fix"back again in p.w.o.
