Surely even if they dont have it to finish out the day VDB or Nibbles will just have to try something risky early, whats the point in just following sky all the way to paris.

Saying that Sky will drive it on at the front and not allow the pace to drop to allow an attack....as usual. Voeckler will be lucky to hold onto the mountains classification I'd say, left a lot out there today.

Christian Prud'homme describing today's stage a few months ago: "I believe this makes for an authentic mountain stage, by that I mean there is no summit finish, as they have a tendancy to inhibit the action a certain extent." Prud'homme actually thinks summit finishes inhibit action? And is in favour of descents to the finish...I don't like this. Prud'homme actually thinks summit finishes inhibit action? And is in favour of descents to the finish...I don't like this.If he wants 100k of TTs, and a battle between TTers and climbers, he needs more summit finishes, not less

Love him or hate him Voeckler was brilliant to watch today. His mad dash over the top of the peyresoude while on his own was too much!

Today's fab pic. Would like to see the Nico and Dan photo today too. Fair effort again from both.

That looks like a right nasty injury actually. Hope he hasn't done serious damage to the fingers. They were saying he got em caught in the wheel.

Shame about Roche today. He lost time on absolutely everyone he didn't want to; the two or three ahead of him and the one behind. If you were being super critical, maybe the lads ahead of him deserve the top 10 more. They tried some semblance of an attack at different stages.

Another win for the drug cheats and Froome's taking the piss out of Wiggo robbed us of a tight finish.

Still, good for Martin, nice to a good clean Irish rider do well.

Froome comes across as an amicable fella when interviewed, unlike quite a few of his peers. I'd like to see him unleashed on the tour in 2013, be it for Sky or elsewhere.

I love the way the ITV boys avoid the drugs at all costs. Valverde is indeed a past sinner. Not exactly denouncing drug taking a la Millar since his comeback.
