I agree, I said earlier on in the thread there are many more deserving cases out there.

If he wasn't 70 no one would bat an eye lid.

The headline should be, 'I bought a huge house I've lost out on it I have 9 other properties but please feel sorry for me'

They might be able to sell some of the other properties even with tenants in them.

Or the bank might have been muscling in on them to get posession of the other houses.

They have a list.

They check it twice.

They wanna find out who's naughty, 3 months behind and sitting in a property that'll hold it's value.

This isnt a case of a pensioner being turfed out of their only home. This guy took the gamble on cleaning up with a property portfolio and lost. Why should anyone feel pity for this guy is beyone me. The celtic tiger mindset at its finest, demonstrated by the righteous indignation that he may have to hand over the keys to his palace.
As far as the baliffs behaviour its hard to say. I know they do have some powers when supervised by gardai. Physically ejecting someone from private property could well be in there. Similar to the powers a security guard or bouncer would have.
I find the self serving narration by yer one and the way the old gobshite makes a bee line for the baliffs & gardai while shouting "get away from me" pretty telling.

Non story.

People wouldn't be half as outraged at this if the Sheriff wasn't such a cartoonishly fat bastard.
People instinctively hate fat folk.

Fair enough, but he has had two years to sell it. Perhaps he is asking too much.

And don't forget he hasn't paid the mortgage for 2 years. That's 24 times whatever the mortgage is.
