I think Ronaldo's role in the Pan-Iberian Diving Championship could have been significantly advanced if the crossbars had been set at least 10 feet higher.

Other than that he was largely anonymous for much of the game.

What a drab match. I was sorry I committed to it. Even worse than England and Italy.

Cristiano Ronaldo is the first Real Madrid player to score on four consecutive visits to the Camp Nou

He did it a year ago in the Spanish Super Cup, again in the return leg of the Copa del Rey, during the last Liga and once more in the first leg of the current Super Cup
Realmadrid.com

Cristiano Ronaldo continues to break records with the Whites. If last season he pulverised numerous records both in the Liga and in Real Madrid, this campaign, his fourth with the Whites, he's started off on the same foot. With yesterday's goal in the Camp Nou the Portuguese footballer has become the only player in the history of Real Madrid to manage to score on four consecutive visits to Barcelona's stadium: The Spanish Super Cup, return leg of the Copa del Rey, day 35 of the Liga in the last campaign and this season's Super Cup.

The Real Madrid forward feels at ease in big stadiums and especially in the Camp Nou. For the Portuguese footballer, playing there has been synonymous with scoring. His goal-scoring streak against Barcelona started a year ago, in August, on the return leg of the Spanish Super Cup. On that occasion, Cristiano Ronaldo took advantage of a shot from Benzema, deflecting it to beat Valdés. He scored once again in January 2012 on the return leg of the semifinals of the Copa del Rey. That time he chased Puyol, tackled Pinto and scored with his right foot to make it 2-1.

Cristiano Ronaldo's third goal on Barcelona's turf was perhaps the most important. The Whites were visiting the Camp Nou in a key match for the Liga title. With the game tied one all, it was Cristiano Ronaldo's moment. The Real Madrid player received a superb pass from Özil, positioning himself before Valdés. He got past him and sent the ball to the back of the net, achieving victory for Real Madrid and sealing the Liga. Ronaldo's hand gesture afterwards, asking for the stands to remain calm, will always be remembered. In less than two months the team led by José Mourinho will be back in Camp Nou to contest day seven of the Liga and the White's number 7 has every intention of beating his historic record yet again.
