Axis and Allies
When myself and my three brothers were kids we used to play this really nerdy WW2 strategy board game called Axis and Allies. There was huge competition and rivalry and many's the row but sure it passed away the rainy saturdays.
Every Christmas when we get together we make a point of getting down the box and subjecting ourselves to another round of it.
We all live in different cities and two are abroad so Christmas is the only opportunity for this.
I was wondering, seeing as how this site has so many experts on the interweb and fandangled tinternetting, could ye tell me if there is an online version of this that we could play together remotely?
I found sites that have versions of it but you have to play live. Would it be possible to get a version that you could play over a couple of weeks and each player could take their turn whenever it suited them?
I'd love to have something like that to keep in touch with my exiled bro's.
I'd appreciate any help or ideas about this. Cheers Proc.

A friend still has the board game. Many 4 or 5 am sessions. Class game.

Its fairly compulsive alright and one of the few games that are as enjoyable as an adult as when you were a young fella. Nerd central tho in fairness.

You could try cyberboard which is a free app for playing boardgames on a PC:
http://cyberboard.brainiac.com/index.html
It looks like it has an Axis and Allies gamebox.

Fair play lads. One called triple A looks like it might do the trick.
Thanks for the help.

Never heard of this game.

A&A is Big Bang Theory type stuff. Hours and hours of endless gameplay. To pearl harbour or not, to speed bump in Karelia or not.
