Tbh he has not had a good season. Mostly down to a lot of niggling injuries. Missing weeks and months here and there he never really had a chance to get a regular run in the team.

Good or bad season I still think he would miss out.

Ah well I'm looking forward to it at this stage anyway. It's getting close.

Fair play to Trap for hinting that McClean's likely to go. It crushes that nonsensical conspiracy theory about him being purposely stubborn in the face of public opinion.

Fine dan, maybe your wumming, but what does it say when he didn't even select him in the original squad for the czech game but now is gonna take him to poland?

Stubborn?
Maybe.

I am just glad he has come around to my way of thinking.

ps weren't you one of the 'its too soon, leave him at home' gang?

The "let Trap decide whether it's too soon or not" brigade would be more accurate.

Looks like he's made a decision and he thinks McClean could be the real deal, which is a great vote of confidence for the youngfella and it's great for us all because we need a new generation of attacking players.

I'm confused by this.

Surely this is a grevious capitulation to popular, but ignorant, opinion?

?????

Capitulation?
Do you think I don't rate the player or something?

Or do you think trap is reacting to media etc?

If the guy who knows more about football than all of us wants him part of his team it's good enough for me

I trust and back trap 100% and think we can get through group

Plus, as a match goer in loi I'm pleased a player has made such rapid progress

But i thought trapp was right when leaving him out?

That there was no way a rookie youngster could be trusted to learn the system?

How does leaving him out of the squad for the czech game tally with this about turn?
