....if its on offer.

The inkshop on castle street is one of the more reasonably i know of - especially given the fact its a small shop,

but if you go out to harvey normans you can get them to drop the price for you.

If you're lucky you might even get 40 euro off depending on who you're dealing with.

Smeggle what are the first 4 symbols in your sig?

Its wrecking my head.

My guess is that its your year of birth.

sure i only know it cause i was caught once at my suppliers when they had none and I had a rush job - just sort of clicked - hey Derek - sure I can just use one of an external yeah? sure can't see why not...

I needed an external caddy anyway and client needed drive - so it was win win

Be sure to get a decent enclosure that can take the shock.

Try using some stick on foam on the inside to cushion the hard drive if you get a cheap enclosure, and be sure not to cover any of the holes on the top of the hard drive, that usually say (do not cover).

Some enclosure come with those little stick on thingies.

Stay away from this particular style case especially:

http://cgi.ebay.ie/2-5-USB-2-0-HDD-I...#ht_4964wt_931

The hard drive will just be loose inside it.

This type is a bit better, secures the hard drive better:

http://cgi.ebay.ie/BLACK-2-5-USB-SAT...ht_2255wt_1137

Notice how it has 2 black lids that come off, and a silver line in between.

I own both of the enclosures i linked too, hence the heads up.

Of course these are the really cheapest of the cheap.

Sound job Wave for the heads up.

My plan is to buy a normal portable external hdd and open it and take out the hdd and use it as an internal hdd and use the case as a caddy. do ya reckon this would work?
