Can honestly say I haven't watched in about ten years.

Can't even remember what it's like. Probably a lot of lame jokes and fiddly dee music.

It's outdated, seriously cheesy and cringeworthy but if it has the viewers it's hard to pull it. As stated it's great value for money in terms of selling our tourism industry. And YES this is the Ireland we want to sell. Expats, second and third generation Irish and those who want to be Irish with romantic ideas of cute innocent Irish girls, toura loura and begorrah hosts like Daithí, dancing, drinking and having a great old craic, sure aren't we great.

$$$$$$$$$$, thank you sir, God bless.

Ah here, there's plenty about rural ireland to be proud of and to be pushed as an advert for tourists without resorting to the Rose of Tralee and Daithi O'Shea.

Who cares what impression people have,it's good for tourism and when people visit here they'll be able to see what it's really like!

But what platform have you got to sell that? Rose Of Tralee is a gateway to get people into Ireland, they'll travel while they're here and see other parts of this rural Ireland this way.

Theres nothing simple and innocent about the money that changes hands here to get Daddys little girl some publicity, believe me.

I have no reason to think its much different anywhere else.

I'd be more bothered about investment than tourism.

It's creating jobs locally even if it is short term.
