Default Anyone But England

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/s...st/8533791.stm

"We're certainly not being racist. We are the same race as the English."

Really?

Complete non-story. Nice bit of marketing for the company involved, mind.

Hmmm wonder if we would feel the same if there were t-shirts on sale on Oxford St in London with 'Anyone but Ireland'.

Its just the usual small timery and a level of jealousy by the Scots. No team to support in another international tournament so how about a wee bit of sabre rattling against our neighbours.

It's high time the Scots matured as a nation.

.
"Anyone but France/Germany" sentiment was quite common in England during Euro 2008. If anyone had started selling t-shirts, I'd say they'd have done quite well.

A spokesman for Slanj said staff were "flabbergasted" by the warning. Ross Lyle, from the company, said: "To be honest we're absolutely flabbergasted.
That's some quality writing there.
I get the impression they might have been flabbergasted.

No it isn't. Don't be silly. The shirts haven't been banned or anything. I'd be very surprised if the shop didn't see this one individual friendly warning by a policeman acting on his own initiative as an opportunity to get loads of free publicity in the full knowledge that there's a market out there for "PC gone mad" stories.
