Busker on Oliver Plunkett Street
Guy with guitar around lunchtimes on junction between Cook Street/Oliver Plunkett Street, sings like Tim Buckley. Outstanding.

Anyone see the lad in the tuxedo singing opera on Oliver Plunkett street today? He had an amp and all. You'd hear him in Macroom.

There was a guy playin down Opera Lane today who was so bad that it kind of became good but in a comedy value kind of way. That was in the 60 or so seconds that i had to endure him anyway. He had a sound system playing behind him playing all this Spanish/Latin kind of shite and he was playin halfheartedly along very badly on a Saxaphone to it.
But the best thing about it was he had a big handwritten sign on his guitar case saying "Book me for Christmas" with the phone number underneath.

Passed him today at about 12.45 and he said he'd be back at 2.15. Sang yesterday without his amp and you could still hear him way up the street. He's the first "busker" I've seen people stop and and applaud in a long time. The guy I'm talking about took his space for a while.
