A few observation...
We play far too slowly
O'Neill is not the wonderboy the average supporter thought he was
We don't have nearly enough scoring forwards
Cute girls don't go to league games
We can't pass
no cork wont beat them, because they are far better. Would eoin brosnan have missed the 2 goal efforts canty got? NO, would alan o connor or pearce o neill in a month of sundays have got the score sheehan did in the end? NO
With a really poor management team who do not invest time in developing players football skills we are stalled. Look at kealy in goal for kerry, how did he improve so much? by getting proper training, how many times have alan o connor or kissane or canty been told to improve their kicking by cork management or been helped do so? NEVER. as long
as they bench press 100kgs and average ground covered of 10km per match they are sorted.
Jack o connor has given another lesson to counihan today, he has tried out omahoney on walsh and seen that cork are as one dimensional as usual.
Couldn't argue with any of that. One thing to be pointed out though is that Kerry wouldn't be in a position where their only two goal chances fell to the centre half back anyway.
There wasn't the wit or skill to force goal chances for our inside forwards. In fairness, at lleast Canty looked like he was trying.
What match were you watching? He was second to every ball and was clueless when he had to make a pass.
At the time I posted he was the only player willing to have a go. After that brief second half burst we retreated into ourselves and back to sub-mediocrity. Worst display in years from a cork senior football team
Other than Alan O'Connor have any of these Cork players improved over the last 3 years?
when you say improved, can he kick a ball over the bar from 35 metres? Has he improved his scoring average? I dont think so, a worker who is simply average at this level

worse then donegal? what it was, was the 2nd worst display so far this season, following on from the armagh dispaly and the second half in portlaoise. Infact despite a brief cameo against a pathetic laois team in the first half, cork have been on a dwonward spiral since the mayo match.

On a positive note - 3 of our injured players were doing intensive exercises, running and sprinting in the Blackrock End -Open stand corner before the game.
This group included Daniel Goulding and Ciaran Sheehan - both looked lean and fit - Sheehan hasn't put on any weight during his lay-off and hopefully he can play a part this year.
A very poor performance by Cork - however, we will be much better when we play them again in the c'ship.
Cork now know how far off the pace they are and how much work needs to be put in.
Can't see us win an AI again under CC - hopefully we can get a good management team in place for next season.

While your point is valid about his scoring rate being low I would think that any objective observer of this team would give the man credit for having improved his performances over the last 3 years. I could not identify any other player that has improved, or been improved over that timeframe.
