Scorsese's series on the Blues is savage
Standing in the shadows of Motown is very good for the year that's in it
Put some blood in the music (New york kinda thing with John Zorn, John Cale, Sonic Youth etc)-very good

Few off the dome

Showing at the Kino cinema at the moment is 'Anvil! The Story of Anvil'. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1157605/

It got an amazing review on The View a few weeks ago, and is getting outstanding reviews everywhere.

Metal music woundn't be my thing at all, but I must definitely try and catch this one.

supposed to be great ^^^

It was meant to be screened alongside a live appearance by Anvil themselves at the film festival which would have been class!

Hype! Is real good as is ken burns series on jazz and the BBC series a few years back about country 'lost highway', though it ended before alt-country started, which seemed odd
