Default March in support of Cork hurlers :: 7th Feb 3pm Emmet Place

March in Support of Cork Hurlers

A supporters march will take place in Cork city in support of the 2008 Cork hurling squad on Saturday February 7th.

Rebels are being asked to assemble at Emmet Place, outside Cork Opera House before 3pm after which a march will take place in the city centre.

The march is being organised by well known Cork supporter Tom ‘Bomber’ Roche, who organised last year’s successful marches, and PeoplesRepublicOfCor k.com

Fans are asked to bring as much colour as possible and to spread the word to as many Corkonians as possible.

Just hours after the hurlers’ press conference and statement, a 96FM poll has showed overwhelming support for the hurlers with 2,909 texts in favour of the players and 309 against.

Note to PROC Sports Forum Users:

As there were varying suggestions regarding the date and time of the march. PROC decided to get in touch with Bomber Roche who had announced the march on 96FM this morning not knowing that another date had been set by some PROC users.

In the interests of the unity of supporters and in achieving our aims, PROC has decided to commit to Bomber’s date. Anyone who has forwarded an email with another date is asked to correct it as soon as possible. We thank you for your enthusiasm which we hope will see a large gathering of support.

Keep it Cork,

ps: Any supporter with access to a drum is asked to bring it to the march.
