Default Laughing Langers "New Kids on the Block"

This Sunday night 14th, the Laughing Langers present the New Kids on the Block, six guys who have just completed a workshop on an introduction to stand up comedy. The lads take to the stage for the very 1st time this Sunday in the Roundy Bar. The audience will vote to see who is the best new comer to stand up. So we present,

Keith Beamish.
Cian O Mahony.
Eoin Slade.
Barry Magan.
Dave Molony.
Karl Ryan.

Dave Dineen (Cork Comedy Festival) will also take to the stage in support of the new comedians.

Cheers Albert, it should, once they've done the work. A talented bunch, I was lucky.

Just to say a huge thank you to everybody for making last night such a fantastic night. We had a packed house with standing room only, so to the audience of friends, paying customers and guests, thank you for supporting local comedy and the new comedians.

Also thank you to the management and staff of the Roundy bar for giving us the room every week for the workshop and last night, we could not have done it without your support.

The new comedians were great, the best new comers I have seen in a very long time, lads ye are really talented, and have a great future ahead of you, so thank you Eoin Slade, Karl Ryan, Dave Moloney, Keith Beamish, Cian O Mahony, and Barry Magan.

Thank you also to Dave"Donkey" Dineen for supporting the workshop and giving a great performance last night, this is despite showing your shitty arse to one and all. Thank you Paddy, Jamie and Ben Buckley for the help out last night.

The winner of the new comedian of the year was Cian O Mahony, who was also fortunate to have had support from Dylan Holland with advise and suggestions.

The audience were fantastic, and it was such a change to have had a full house with a very receptive audience.

In finishing, again I would like to thank all the new comedians who really came such a long way over the 6 weeks, they were asked to give %100, and thats what they gave.

Thank you all and may you have a happy and safe Christmas and New Year.

Yup, there will be another workshop, from the night alone we got 5 people looking for a spot on the next workshop. I need to add a few more things to the workshop and possibly bring in one or two more comedians so the new comics can get a wider view point with regards to advise.

Next workshop Albert should be around February, I will still be meeting with the lads from the previous workshop in January to get them together working as a group to bounce material around and just cover some extra aspects like MC'ing and some improve ( for which I will have to bring someone in with proper experience ).

Next gig I will get the entire audience to "do a shout out for Alby", just to hear some entertaining heckling.
