Default The Spurs summer sale ...

Will they have any players left?

Keane to Liverpool
Berbatov to Man U
Chimbonda, Kaboul, Malbranque and Tainio to Sunderland!!

Estimated fees would be around £60million.

I wonder what Spurs have lined up?

Spurs spending has been considerable already this season.

Makes sense to buy before you sell, they'd only get held for ransom if the clubs they were doing business with knew they'd the bones of £50m sitting in the bank.

Thing is though the PL is only 4 weeks away.
If Berbatov and Keane go - where is the strike force to move Spurs into top 4?
If Roy is taking the 4 he has a bid accepted for, where is the cover for hutton, the cbs and malbranque on the wing?????

Ramos better have replacements lined up quick.

Would hope Berbatov goes to Barcelona though.

Spurs are only gonna play 1 up top next season. They will play a 4-2-3-1 system. The 3 behind the lone striker will be Dos Santos Modrice and either Bentley/ Capel the third. I would be surprised if we dont sign wither bentley or Capel before the start of the season.

To be honest I will not be overly disapointed if both Berba and Keane go. They have been great servants for the club especially Keane and Berba despite his tantrums has a great goal scoring record for us. People forget that Darren Bent is still at Spurs and he done all right with limited opportunites last year. They will add one more striker ... maybe Diego Milito or a dream signing would be santa cruz( unlikely though) £45 mill would be good business for Berba and Keane they are both in their late twenties ... and these two guys by themselves cannot bring us any further. We need to invest in quality midfied players and improve the spine of of the team.

I am inclined to agree with Red City Kid about Keane and Berbatov, of course i'm hoping Berba comes to United but i do worry about the quality of their replacements. Bentley would be a good addition and a 4-2-3-1 system would give him freedom to roam. However Adriano or Capel, whoever Ramos brings over from Sevilla may not be up to the mark. Say what you want about Malbranque, but he's an established Premiership player who on his day is frightening. I remember sitting in the Stretford End a few years back when Fulham came to Old Trafford and won 3-1 and Malbranque had a stormer. Ramos could do worse than to entice Eto'o to Nprth London soon before he makes a crazy decision and goes off to play in Uzbekistan and ruins his career. If Berba or Keane leave, the cash will be there.

i agree with what your saying but they would want to get a move on if they want a settled team for start of season. at the moment i am getting fit and bring my boots to white heart lane for a trial. bent needs a big six months for ye. did you know he is in the top 20 best paid players in the world. phenominal!!

4 off to Sunderland.
Keane and Berbatov off to Liverpool and Man U.

Still no one bought...........Ars havin, Pavluychenko, Bentley, Milito, Capel all touted and no one bought and the first day of the season 3 weeks away........Ramos should have about 70 mill to spend (23(4), 20(RK), 27(Berb)). That should be a strikeforce, a CB and DM.
