I have only ever heard the "Irony is a dead scene" album or more like 4 songs. I must say i like the cut of their jib.
Its not often you hear a record and literally go "fuck me, that was intense, innovative and hugely enjoyable. The drumming in particular caught my attention .
I am just wondering what are some DEP tracks that i should get to get me started on the DEP road.

Well i actually thought that you would be the man to point me in the right direction about them! I have only really a few tracks by them like art monk and stuff but i liked what i heard from them. A lot like mike patton type stuff
The second half of "When good dogs do bad things" will bend your mind.
"Pig Latin" is tremendous.
"Come to Daddy" is mental, Patton sounds so feckin sinister on this, great drumming
"Hollywood Squares" is alwight.
I got into DEP around 7/8 years ago at this stage, just as Calculating Infinity came out. Was big into them until I saw them live. They're rockstar assholes. The first time I saw them they were supported by Nasum, who blew them off the stage. DEP's singer threw a pint glass at us and spat on a barmaid.
Then I saw them play with Icarus Line in Limerick. Both Icarus Line and DEP were awful. It was around the time Icarus Line were being hyped up so a load of posers turned up to see them and were totally bemused by DEP. When some girl started heckling them the singer spat on her and called everyone "lucky charm eating, pot of gold hoarding motherfuckers". It might have been funny if he wasn't such a jock asshole. By the time they finished up pretty much everyone had left.
As far as I'm concerned, the only records they have that are worth paying for are Calculating Infinity and the Under The Running Board EP, both of which are amazing in fairness.
I dont really like Irony that much. Miss Machine is mostly arse.
Yeah, they've had two singers (three if you include Patton).
The first time I saw them was their first tour with the current singer.
The old singer was the one who was on Calculating and Running Board.
The only original member left is the guitarist.
