Default National Hunt Season 18/19

Well fokes it's that time of the year to start getting excited. Don't know if many racing fans on here but lash away with horses to follow for the year. Include a few dark ones

Not a huge racing fan but I love following the Gold Cup and Champion Hurdle divisions during the winter. Betfair Chase today was an interesting race with five top horses and nothing else. It was Might Bite´s worst ever performance finishing well beaten last. Last season´s Gold Cup winner Native River is obviously a soft ground specialist but has never been out of the first three in the last three seasons (15 runs some on good ground like today). Bristol De Mai looked so good today. Still a young horse and could be value at 20/1 for the GC. Presenting Percy is now 9/2 clear fav based on his impressive performances as a novice.

As the saying goes,"theres no gold cups won in Nov".I'd imagine Henderson would not have had him 85/90% and he'll be ramping things up for Kempton at Christmas time.It looked a good race but Bristol Da Mai stripped a lot fitter than the others.I'm looking forward to the 2 miler hurdlers and chasers this year.Lots of competition across all the big races.

Even given the fact that he wasn't 100% I thought that was fairly poor from MB. The GC looks open enough right now. As it should be with nearly 4 months to go still.

Without doubt, its wide open.I was listening to a podcast and David Mullins spoke about Douvan being a gold cup horse. Now that would be something.

Percy I like Dan. Gutted with Douvan out of all the Rich Ricci horses he was my favourite. Yeah I know from Faugheen to Annie but he was my favourite.
I was watching the racing today and had no bet but if Bristol De Mai can handle going Left handed in Cheltenham I think he could be among GC contenders. Stays well and great cruising speed.

Bristol has already run at cheltenham 4-5 times Fin. Including the gold cup the year before last. Doesn't seem to fancy it, never won there. I think BdM and Haydock is a prime example of horses for courses.

Lalor definitely interesting.
