Default Westlife for the Pairc

https://www.corkbeo.ie/news/local-ne...ummer-16561713

Westlife are set to bring their new tour to three cities in Ireland next year. And Cork will be one of them.

After playing gigs in Dublin and Belfast this summer, the four-piece will return there once again but they are also adding Cork to the destination list.

The success of this summer's Rod Stewart concert has shown there is a huge appetite for superstar shows in the shiny new GAA stadium and the boys' promoters believe they will get at least one big night on Leeside.

This comes after they managed to sell out two nights in the 82,000 seater Croke Park as well as five dates in the SSE Arena.

A source close to the band told RSVP Live: "It has already been said that they are going on another tour next year, but it is going to be bigger and better than the Twenty Tour.

When the Pairc was redeveloped I envisaged going to gigs there once or twice a year.
So far we've had Ed Sheeran. Rod Stewart. That's it.
Next year we'll have Westlife.

Maybe the fourth year after the redevelopment I might go to a gig there 🙄

Better start stocking the shelves with fake tan now. Last weekend around Dublin was stomach churning.
