John Percy @John__Percy Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana set to complete £25m move to #lfc. Talks now at advanced stage, could even be completed today.

Ben Smith ‏@BenSmithBBC 8s
Liverpool still very keen to sign Chile and Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez. Other clubs interested too #LFC

Maybe a swap with Barca, Suarez for Sanchez.

£25 million is crazy money for Lallana Imo. But that's the way the game has gone.

Suarez lawyer has apparently come out and said his client has agreed personal terms with Barca.

Adam Lallana travels to Liverpool for medical ahead of £25m move -

Adam Lallana is set to become the second Southampton departure in 24 hours as he closes on a £25million move to Liverpool.

Negotiations between the two clubs are at an advanced stage and Liverpool could even complete their protracted pursuit later on Friday.

Lallana has been one of Brendan Rodgers's top transfer targets this summer but Southampton have already rejected two bids, including one shortly before the start of the World Cup.

But Liverpool's latest offer has been reconstructed and is believed to have been accepted by Southampton, who have also sold Rickie Lambert to the Merseysiders this summer.

Southampton were determined to hold out for £30million but Liverpool appear to have finally succeeded in their battle to sign the Saints captain.

Lallana is travelling up to Melwood for a medical later today before joining Luke Shaw as the latest exit from St. Mary's.

He will end a 14-year association with Southampton when he completes his move, after joining from Bournemouth's centre of excellence in 2000.

Last season Lallana was named in the Professional Footballers Association Premier League team of the year after nine goals in 38 league appearances.

I like Rodgers' style. Adding Lallana and Lambert to our attack and not paying a bit of notice to the defence. Happy days...

On a serious note, I like Lallana and £25m is (shamefully) what's to be expected of his quality, experience and nationality. I'd have rathered Shaqiri or someone similar but once we add to the defence later in the summer I wont complain too much...
