Unlike previous years, Indiependence 2009 won’t be a free event. Non-camping two-day tickets are €59 and one-day passes are €39. They’re on sale at Ticketmaster from tomorrow.

Would be great to see Super Furry Animals, wouldn't be bothered with the rest of the line up though

Its the same weekend as Cork X South West and Castle Palooza. Why are these festivals all competing with each other. Doesn't make a bit of sense.

whatever about Castle Palooza, it's daft the other two are on the same weekend. I undersatnd what your saying Jim but a Friday and Saturday would make more sense than going head to head

Cool.
They're picking a very challenging year to change over to a fully fledged paying festival format though!
I'm not sure the lineup (so far) can justify a 3 stage setup but the move to a green field site is good.
The Furries last played the Savoy in 2007 at 30euro a ticket so I suppose 39euro is ok for a day ticket although have to factor in ticketmaster as well, pity they didn't go with tickets.ie.

It's a 2 day festival so I don't see why it has to be on a bank holiday weekend.

Irish Times seem to have teh lineup backwards, SFA are on the Sunday night

Saturday – Ocean Colour Scene, Delorentos, Mundy, Messiah J & The Expert, The Aftermath, Trevega, 202s, Dish Go Deep & The Chapters

Sunday – Super Furry Animals, The Blizzards, Director, The Franks & Walters, Vesta Varro & Fred

Disappointed I'm gonna miss this. Super Furries are a great festival band, although I'd prefer see stuff from the new album at an indoor gig.

Great booking for the IndiePendence lads, should go down a storm.
