Default golf: the new world number one race

well as of monday we have a new world number one in tiger woods.... didnt take too long for him to climb back in to the top spot again... but unlike the 3 year run that he had the last time.... there are about 4 other players who are on top of thier game: singh, goosen, els, and mickleson.... so lads in your opinion whose going to be world number one at the end of the year and is it going to change much????? or will tiger run away and create a hugh lead once again.... will update this one ever once in a while when theres a change.... but come dont be shy

I can understand someone watching a major, but the people who watch every single mind-numingly boring micky mouse tournament like the German open etc on Sky...what a bore...

golf is not boring.... it's an individual sport where any little mistake can cost a player a tournament where u have no one else but ur self to blame..... cant blame the caddie as much want to go off and blame the caddie.... the player is making the shot not any one else..

alright....

seriously is there any one who can stop ernie els when every club that he has in his bag is hot...... jaysus like -26 for the asian open during the weekend and his nearest rival was at -13 S Wakefield. mind boggling.... if he could play like that in the majors then he would win every single one

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/golf/4503193.stm

also in the states we have a new winner and he's a first time winner too goes by the name of:Tim Petrovic after a play off against James Driscoll in new orleans. for a while there no one wanted to win the thing there were at least 4 players at one stage that had a share of the lead.... dimarco was close to winning again after 3 years... it certainly would have brightened his sprits after losing to tiger woods at The Masters.. but alas no just one shot out of the play off...

right lets get back on track here.... u.s open 9 days away woooohooo 2nd major of the year and tiger is still on form... after coming third at last week's memorial... he did go for a run but after the double bogey on 8 the momentum was gone and if he got the birdie and 18th he would have reclaimed the number 1 spot... and got third place finish on his own but it just lipped out.

Bart Bryant manages a par put on the 18th after going into the water and wins the tournament over fred couples.... couples par put was amazing but it's a shame about the chip he had from the rough would have been amazing if he got it....

on the european tour the winner of the celtic manor: Miguel Angel Jiménez shot a blazing round of 62. fair play though he wants to stick to the european tour

ok sunners, to play Golf is alright. But as a spectator sport tis woeful. Besides the majors/Ryder cup tis just painful to watch. 4days of coverage it's worse than cricket. Personally id rather watch curling.
