A simpler suggestion might be to buy a motorbike/moped/bike or whatever suits you. Surely it would cut those travel times down significantly?

Imagine going through the magic roundabound at that time of the day, everyday in anything other than an armour plated tank. I reckon the chances of becoming human pizza over a few years would be quite high.

but if he was on a bike he wouldn't have to go that way

Having said that, Id literally do anything bar sit in a car in traffic for that long. Im one of them lads that just takes the next left or right off any road that becomes a traffic jam and Ill figure it out as I go. I couldn't give a shite if the work around is miles longer and takes the same length of time as sitting there inching forward

You know me brah.

Currently this yoke has 40 minute battery endurance. Blades need protection but this is easily done.

Our friend could easily make it from carrigaline to blackpool on this and then charge it up for the "flight" home.

True enough, I didn't consider that but it will still be a cunt of a journey.

I can't take it at all, I'm just not used to it anymore.

I'll rack up 4 hrs in the car somedays no bother but I'm usually cruising around the county, at times I decide (more or less), I actually enjoy driving, a lot. If I'm stuck behind a few trucks and there is no safe way to take em, I'll be grand but this bumper to bumper stuff drives me nuts. I've no bothers leaving people out or any of that, I am a very patient driver in that respect.

Last night coming home I came across a fearless hare on the road and I stopped for a few mins to watch him, I then came across a big scruffy badger hunting slugs. Even after a long days driving and being flaed out I still have time to enjoy my surrounding. Being stuck in traffic though makes me feel like I'm losing precious time that I'll never get back. I'd say if i lived in the city at this stage I would be done for road rage and rightly so.
