Come down to Cyprus Avenue on Saturday 29th January at 12pm (midday) to get invaluable advice and expert opinions on the music industry and taking the next steps as an artist or band.
The day will include an introduction and discussion followed by a Q&A and will be rounded off with a demo-dip session where demos will be picked at random, listened to and feedback given in the room.
The panel of experts will include managers, bookers, radio and industry bodies who will be there to talk about the challenges facing artists in Ireland, starting with the basics like gigging and demos but covering whatever your burning questions are about the music industry right now, covering topics like...
- Recording and submitting demos to labels/radio etc
- Gigging / building fans live
- Developing online presence and fan interaction
- Collaborating with other artists (on production, design, videos, remixes etc)
- Applying for showcase events (such as Hard Working Class Heroes)
- When, how & why (or why not!) to contact 'industry types'!
