Default HELP - Need something new to listen to.....Favourite Albums of 2009

You know when your sick of everything you have but you just can't find anything new that sounds good to you? I'm after tearing the ass out of Purple Rain for the last week, listening to a lot of the Italians do it better artists too and I can't seem to get away from that house/disco stuff and everything I seem to find is acoustic/folk artists and I was listening to a lot of that lately too.

So...... anyone got any good recommendations, I remember last year bout this time there was a favourite album so far thread and it was quite good. Or anyone seen someone of interest at a festival/gig?

New Manic Street Preachers "Journal For Plague Lovers" is deadly.

Metric "Fantasies" is pretty good.

Steel Panther is good for a laugh.

If you haven't listened to "The '59 Sound" by The Gaslight Anthem yet it's worth a whirl.

Ted Leo & The Pharmacists "Living With The Living" is good.

"Farm" by Dinosaur Jr is up there.

The Gutter Twins "Saturnalia".
