Default Dodgy 50 Euro notes in Cork.

CORK traders have been warned to sufficiently inspect €50 notes before accepting them, following reports that counterfeit money is in circulation.
The Garda Síochána Southern Region Facebook page issued the warning earlier today, which stated that the reports of fake money were received by Gardaí in West Cork.

Traders have been urged to carry out all necessary checks to ensure they do not accept counterfeit money.

The 'look, tilt, feel' test should distinguish counterfeit notes from real ones.
By inspecting a real banknote against the light, the portrait window, watermark and security thread should all be visible.

Tilting it should reveal the portrait of Europa in a transparent window on the silvery stripe and the emerald number displays an effect of the light that moves up and down.

Finally, by feeling a real banknote, you should be able to detect the raised print that is characteristic of authentic money.
"By taking the time to feel, examine and tilt the notes, businesses can prevent fraudsters from passing off these notes as the real thing," Gardaí have stated.
Traders are urged to contact their local Garda branch if they think they have been scammed.

From the Echo. You have all been warned lads.
- Oh, yes. Oh, very yes. I would very much like to invade the Transvaal. Look at my tooth; it's shining with lust.
