Nope. Not unless I was directly in front of it and even then I'd be very wary tbh. If, god forbid, something happened and it caught fire I'd be 100% culpable.
I just think it's a bit of a liberty by Whirlpool saying you mustn't use the dryer you paid for in good faith, but it'll be a couple of months before we bother to give you a replacement

Why not contact the CCPC and ask for their advice, if an item is not of merchantable quality, you are entitled to a replacement or a refund.

We were told we shouldn't use our tumble dryer under any circumstances and that Whirlpool will be back in touch promptly to provide an equivalent or to give an improvement for an extra fee.
This was weeks ago. And the only update they've given is that they'll be back in touch in mid-November, over six weeks on from when we first reported the issue in writing.
So, now that the kids have gone back to school, uniforms, sports gear and the weather has deteriorated, we have to twiddle our thumbs waiting for Whirlpool to get their fingers out!
Part of me thinks they're delaying deliberately in the hope that an amount of people affected won't be able to wait around and will have to buy a new one and so won't chase Whirlpool up for a replacement.
I phoned them up to ask what is the hold up, lady said she'd ask the manager, and after being put on hold the line went dead. CNUTS!
Anyone else here had a Whirlpool recall and facing similarly lengthy delays in resolution?
