That's a really good point actually. I couldn't count the amount of times I've heard something on in the background in that I wouldn't have bought in a million years but for hearing it there. Or the amount of times jim has handed me an absolute blinder of a record buried in a section I'd never browse through..

Jeez, the more I think about this the sicker I feel..

Phonica's got good music, but having 90% shite on shelves leaves me buying 10% of what I pick out. In plug'd I'll like around 80% or 90% of whats on the shelf. Digging in phonica takes me about 2 hours to find five records I'll buy. With Plug'd it's more like 10 or 15 mins.

Also, what are you keeping records behind the counter for? Put em on the shelves you cunts. Furthermore, when I tell you "I'll grab a few more to listen to too" it doesnt mean "go chat with the smelly dreadlocked ragga feen and ignore me lest I ask you for more of your precious behind-the-counter-15-foot-up-on-the-wall-shitty-records to listen to". And after all that I'll like maybe 10%, cos their buyer's not that good.

I've no qualms with Hard Wax, just that their "new" section could be bigger. Nice guys there, and good records.

Spill!

The BM lads across the way (on d'arlabay street) informed me that:

"John Daly is some big guy from New York. Definitely not Irish anyway."

Right lads.

Or Albert getting me to go to a Dub night one time. Those Men Know their tunes in fairness. Or a Candice Staton Album. So much of my vinyl has come out of that place. I haven't been in there since I left Cork, But I'll definitely get in there before the Christmas now.

Fairly gutted really, But hopefully it will return bigger and better in the new year.
