Ahh i wouldnt say they were nu-metal at all. Definitely black metal though with the growly vocals and stuff. Gone into the ol 23 minute epic pieces now at the moment though.

Oh and satan is cool obviously! Unless you follow stryper that is

The whole meal thing is quite nebuolous. If you see someone like The Sounds or Peaches live, the veer towards metal. Punk metal anyway.

Deftones are the business. Rather unfortuantely fell into the nu metal genre as they emrged at that time, but you should defo give them a go.

When are Amon Amarth playing Manc? Saw them a few weeks ago. EDIT: didn't realise they were the support band!

opeth and otep are two different bands!

my tastes would definately swing more towards opeth.

that porcupine tree band are fucking savage, I heard a track on a metal hammer complilation and it blew me away. will have to look into them
