Default London Heads - restaurant recommendation

Somewhere for Friday night around the City.

No special occasion, so nothing astronomically pricey, but not a pub-grub place that will be busy with beer-filled, boisterous suits.

More broadly, between Farringdon/Smithfields and Fenchurch Street.

Danke.

Check yerwan out speaking german, la.

Will you please try out Gilgamesh for me?

I want to go there but am unable to fly for operational reasons.

I am not sure if Gilgamesh is between Farringdon/Smithfields and Fenchurch Street.

Nor do I care.

Get your ass on that shit.

Thanks, Mr. P.

I have been wanting to go there, but as it's less than 50 paces from my office, I've avoided it.

Also, I don't want to be cheeky when I reply to someone saying their suggestion is shit, and I propose that they march from Fenchurch over to a restaurant conveniently located for me!

Gill has practically never given a restuarant in the City/East a good review. He seems to resent leaving Kensington and Chelsea.

Have a sconce at these two - there's generally something good in these.
Otherwise, cab it over to Borough Market where there are a couple of nice spots and some good bars.

This was nice for lunch, but it could attract the boisterous suits brigade for dinner, I'm not sure, I've only been for lunch. It's a scottish themed restaurant and apparently they do live music at night.

It's definitely not a "Gastropub" though. You probably are already familiar with it anyway, but best of luck.

Enjoy your night out.
