Default Cork Airport is going to get offed.

You just know the Dubs will protect as many of their own crowd as they can and hammer Cork.

I'll be interesting to see how Big Micky Martin handles this one.

As a business,i'd imagine its the right thing to do.Reduce numbers and loss making flights, services and departments.Rather than losing everything down the line.Pity the likes of RTE and Ianrod Eireann/Bus Eireann don't follow suit.

“ Other proposed changes to work practices include employees being required to "follow the work" by moving between Terminals 1 and 2 in Dublin Airport.”

Heh heh heh.

FF have history with Cork Airport of course.

Build a brand new terminal costing hundreds of million and FF promised that it was debt free.

So much for that, that was the end of any independence that Cork could have hoped for.

Will Aircoach survive this? They have been massively expanding their fleet, so that's going to be a lot of empty buses and a lot of drivers without a job.

That could be one saving grace for Cork Airport, if the €10 buses to Dublin Airport were to disappear.

Yes they are 30 million passengers busier.
Tbf it's going to hit both airports but Dublin have much more staff and will need way less going forward. Like it or not its airport was booming and it's all gone to shit. Cork airport hadnt risen so high so will have less to fall.

As an aside I travelled through Cork airport at the end of last year after many years of going through Dublin because the flights I needed didnt go from Cork.
It was an absolute pleasure compared to the cattle market Dublin had become.

Aircoach are part of a plc as far as i know, but all their eggs are in one basket here with regard to airport connections.
Even if they do fail, some other shower will offer these Dumplin airport connections.
