Default Coronavirus Cork County Senior Hurling Championship

Right lads, now that the Inter County season is over for another year it’s time to get back to the real GAA, the clubs.

I’m proposing we run a 16 team knockout competition along the same lines of the Inter County Competition with entrant choosing their own club where possible. If two or more posters want the same club or division we will have to draw lots for who gets who.

So the 16 teams I’m suggesting are the 13 teams that have won the County Championship since 1970 plus Seandun, Muskerry and Duhallow. The 13 county winners since 1970 are

St Finbarr’s, Glen Rovers, Blackrock, Midleton, Na Piarsiagh, Sarsfields, Erin’s Own, Newtownshandrum, Carrigtwohill, Imokilly, UCC, Avondhu, Carbery.

But you can choose any club you want once they have played senior county championship at some stage

Get choosing !

Thanks again R&B! Doing a great job.

The obvious choice is Imokilly but from following the All Ireland Championship, form goes out the window. I'm going to pick my native Avondhu and hoping we have a repeat of 1996.

The above divisions wouldn’t win the lower intermediate championship.
